CRAIG, GOYDER, and LEVISON as a popular itinerant lecturer on phrenology in the 1840s; for a time he was based in Bristol where he delineated and spoke in defense of BARBER'S phrenology against BRINDLEY'S attack in 1842; lectured mainly in the south of England; also dipped into electrical psychology and mesmerism, the latter leading to a public debate with fellow phrenologist, but antimesmerist, J. Q. RUMBALL in Gloucester, 1845.
