surgeon and accoucher of Berkeley Sq, London; MRCS 1832; surgeon to St George's Infirmary; pupil and devotee of ELLIOTSON; for 11 years he was the sec of the LONDON PHREN SOC; M PHREN ASSN; on council of London Mesmeric Infirmary; in 1851 he sought subscribers for a two volume translation of GALL'S Physiology of the Brain which he had completed (see note in ZOIST, 9 [1851]: 233) but needed 2 guineas a copy to make it worthwhile to publish; no publication appeared.
