LSA 1835, MRCSE 1835; trained at Bath and at St. Bartholomew's Hosp; GP of Westminster; after 1850, surgeon to the Westminster Female Refuge, med officer Western Dispensary, and surgeon to Emanuel Hosp; sec Westminster Mechanics' & Lit Inst, 1837, where he lectured on phrenology in the 1830s; lectured on "The Character of Nations--Phrenologically" at the Cadogan Inst, 1840.
