Editorial Description

Jr., of Campsall Hall, near Doncaster; son of a captain in the Horse Guards and brother of Neville WOOD; educationalist and ornithologist; established the Campsall Soc for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, 1832, and lectured to it on phrenology; lectured on phrenology at Leicester Lit & Phil Soc and in London, 1837, at Doncaster Lyceum, 1838, and in Sheffield, 1839.
