surgeon of Ratho, Edin; LRCS Edin 1821, FRCS Edin 1853; surgeon to the Ratho and Currie Parochial Board; M Med-Chir Soc and Obstet Soc Edin; author of works on spectral illusion and on eyes; corresponded with G. COMBE over the details of a case, his anti-phrenological remarks being repeated by R. LEWINS'S in his 'Appendix' to FLETCHER'S Rudiments (1837) and, as such, were taken up in the PHREN J, 1836/7.
