TAYLOR (Applied Psychology [1913]: 70) to have been SPURZHEIM'S demonstrator; possibly Frederick William Beechey , rear-admiral and geographer who entered the Navy in 1806 under the direct patronage of the 1st Earl St. Vincent, Admiral of the Fleet, and who was on Parry's Arctic expedition of 1819, but was onshore for some years after 1828; several works on phrenology deposited in the British Library came from his library.
